Our Child Safe™ is a time saving tool that enables law enforcement to focus on the recovery of a missing child rather than on the data gathering aspects of an investigation.
According to the US Department of Justice, the time it takes from the initial alerting of law enforcement, to gathering critical information is between two and four hours. In these time-critical cases, those first few hours are when every second lost may hold tremendous consequences.
In testing with law enforcement, Our Child Safe™ provided this crucial data in less than fifty-five seconds. This time saving solution is law enforcement’s tool to help ensure successful recovery of the missing child.
How Our Child Safe™ Works
The decision that a child is missing is one made by law enforcement, often determined by the local officer assigned to the case. Parents provide their Our Child Safe™ username and password to you as law enforcement or security personnel on the case. Instantly, personal and medical data necessary for recovery of the child are presented via our secure Internet database. This includes the child’s recent photos, physical description, and other important details parents have proactively prepared in advance of threat. We do not utilize social security numbers or home addresses. We do not collect fingerprints or DNA samples. We want successful recoveries before those items are required.
With data from Our Child Safe™ quickly available, you may choose to issue an Amber Alert, a Be on the Lookout (BOLO) or a missing person report.
Your partnership with Our Child Safe™ Family is easy. Follow these steps:
Simply click on the Our Child Safe™ target below. The target becomes a desktop icon on any computer you choose. This shortcut icon will allow you to access the Our Child Safe™ secure database if alerted by a parent.
After clicking the icon, you will be taken to the Our Child Safe™ login page. The parent will tell you their username and password. Their child’s profile will pop up, you hit the download button and in seconds the child’s profile will be on your computer screen in a format ready to be disseminated as you see fit.
Please note: The file you download is a .zip file that must be unzipped using a program such as WinZip
or 7-Zip. If you do not have a zip program, you can visit one of the links provided. These links will open in a new window; to return to this page, simply close the window.
Use your zip program to open the zip file upon completion of the download.
To create the Desktop icon, drag the .exe file within the zip file to your Desktop.
We’re in your community
Our Child Safe™ has children registered from cities all across the United States.
You may have already heard of Our Child Safe™ Days at schools in your community. We collaborate with local law enforcement on those days at schools. We partner with the local police department to bring in a representative to provide the students a full offering of preventive safety information. Our Child Safe™ believes that educated students and parents can make law enforcement’s job much easier.
Our Child Safe™ gives back to the community generously, with fundraising for education and 501c3 organizations - all while signing kids up to increase their safety. Through our education program, we offer free registration grants for needy families.
